Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Christchurch Hospital on Monday May 11, 2026 aged 80 years.

Beloved wife, soul mate and best friend for 60 years of Mal. Officially known as Mal Griebel and Jan Griebel but usually as just one … Mal and Jan. Dearly loved mother of the late Brendon, and his surviving wife Sandra. Much loved mum and mum-in-law of Andrea and Stephen. Loved nana of Karesha, Jimmy and Mitch, Natasha and Edgar, and Daniel. Great Granna to Robbie and Kobi. Loved and respected sister of Wendy.
