HOPKINS James “Jim”

Sadly, and suddenly died on Monday July 27, 2026. Lovingly remembered by his children David, Cass and Tom, granddaughter, Jeanne, and beloved older brother of Peter and Judy.

His wit, charm and tenacity will be missed. The family are very thankful for the compassionate care provided to Jim by Oamaru St John Ambulance, the ED staff at Oamaru Hospital and the ICU staff at Dunedin Hospital.

A funeral service is to be held at St Mary’s Anglican Church, Church Square, Addington, Christchurch on Monday,  August 3 at 11am followed by a private burial.

Memorial in Oamaru to be held by Waitaki Council with details to follow.
