Loved great-grandfather of Miracle, Maya, Manaia, Awhi, Ihaia, Koah and Amos.

Taofi le mālō. As our matai, Tilali’s philosophy is reflected in our family ta’iala: Fai mea e faigofie, taugofie, matagofie ma vave. Do things simply, affordably, beautifully and promptly. We call this O Le Ala Fa’aLui. In keeping with his wishes, we will not observe fa’amatai practices and traditional customs, including the receiving of ‘ie toga, lace for his casket, or other practices that place financial burdens on families. This is Tilali’s deeply held expression of fa’aSamoa through compassion and care for our families.
Tilali’s family service will be private. A Requiem Mass will be held on Thursday, 22 October, at 12:00 noon, at St Gregory’s Church (Catholic Parish of Christ the Redeemer), 26 Cotswold Ave, Bishopdale, Christchurch. Tilali’s farewell will conclude with a burial at Belfast Cemetery, Belfast Road.  Messages to: PO Box 26051 North Avon Christchurch 8148. Heartfelt thanks to all who cared for Tilali, especially in recent years.
