Ronald Henry (Ron) Collyer
Please join us in celebrating Ronald Henry (Ron) Collyer's life
COLLYER, Ronald Henry (Ron), 26 November 2025, aged 84 & 3/4
The time has come for Ron’s ultimate adventure. He leaves behind his beloved partner Sue Greet, his kids Glenn and Tracy, and his bonus crew Sharon, Natalie, and John. His sisters Gwen and Barbara together with grandkids Lily, George, Emma, Lucy, Megan, Monique, and Zac will miss his clever ways and endless advice.
Ron lived life at full speed—whether biking, hiking, skiing, or tinkering with anything he could get his hands on. There was no chance of Ron sitting still for long. He was a man of good intentions, a scattering of bloody-minded-ness but always generous at heart.
We’d like to thank the amazing team at Anthony Wilding Rest Home for their care and kindness – it meant the world to us.
Instead of flowers, Ron would love for you to support Cancer Research Trust New Zealand. Donations can be made online at www.cancerresearchtrustnz.org.nz/donate-today.
Come join us to share laughs, stories, and maybe a few “Ron-isms” as we celebrate a life well-lived at the John Rhind Chapel, entrance London or Whitmore Streets, on Thursday 4 December at 10am.
