Barry William Gadsby

Late of Cornwall Gardens, Christchurch. On May 8, 2025, at Metlife Merivale Village, on the eve of his 85th birthday.

A loved son, brother, uncle, and friend. A member of the Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem, Barry was also a dedicated friend to the Sisters of the Carmelite Monastery, and a long-time appreciator of the arts, theatre, and horticultural communities in New Zealand.

A Vigil Service will be held in the Carmelite Monastery Chapel, 52 Halswell Road, Christchurch, on Tuesday, May 13 at 7:00pm. Requiem Mass for Barry will be celebrated at the Carmelite Chapel on Wednesday, May 14 at 10:00am, followed by committal and burial at Opunake Cemetery on Friday, May 16 at 10:30am.
