Gay Lorrene Griffiths

GRIFFITHS, Gay Lorrene – (nee Howley) – On March 24, 2025, peacefully at Christchurch Hospital after a short illness aged 80 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Eddie, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Brendan Smith and Jannine Wynen, and Vanessa Smith (Australia) and step-mother of Anton Griffiths and Samantha Griffiths. Loved grandmother of Blake, Jordan, Caleb, Logan and Paris Smith. Great grandmother of Myah and Talei (Australia). Loved daughter of the late Herbert (Herb) and the late Eva (Peggy) Howley. Loved special sister of Robert (Bob) Howley  (deceased), Caryl and Jack Churchill (both deceased), Pam and Robbie Hill (Invercargill), Lance and Michele Howley (Murchison) and a loved Auntie of all her nieces and nephews.

Remembering the good times

A gathering will be held at the Cashmere Club, 50 Colombo Street, Cashmere Christchurch, on Thursday April 3 at 1.30pm to celebrate Gay’s life.
