JONES Dorothy May (nee Eder) It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Dorothy May Jones, who left us peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Christchurch Hospital, aged 93. Cherished and much-loved wife of the late Raymond (Ray) Jones. Dorothy was the cherished matriarch of our family – a woman of unwavering strength and kindness. Her life was one of devotion: to her family, her church community, and the values she lived by every day. Dearly loved mother of: Gary (deceased) and Anne, Carol and Mike, Heather and Walter, Stu and Sarah, and Lindsay (deceased).

Dorothy’s heart and home were always open, and she was not only a mother but also a source of wisdom and comfort for her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren – all of whom were deeply devoted to her and enriched by her presence in their lives.

A Service to celebrate the life of Dorothy will be held at the Linwood Avenue Union Church, 378 Linwood Avenue, Bromley, Christchurch on Wednesday, June 18, at 12:00PM. Followed by interment at Ruru Lawn Cemetery.

Rest in Peace, home now with her Lord & Saviour – Jesus Christ, departed Family and Friends. You will be forever missed and always remembered.
