It is with great sorrow that the family of Rachel Elizabeth Shanks announces her passing on Friday, August 8, 2025, after a long illness.  She is survived by her loving husband Cory, their children Michaela, and Bethany, and her brother Stephen.

Rachel lived most of her life in Christchurch and worked in hospitality before devoting her life to raising her children, then caring for her ailing parents.  She will be remembered for her deeply caring nature, her unfailing positivity, her deep love of cats, and her love for her family.
