Died Sunday, 18 May 2025, aged 100, at Merivale Retirement Village, Christchurch.

Beloved husband of the late Ming Simpson (d.2012), father of Andrew, Jane, and Hugh, and grandfather of his only grandchild, Francis.

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Mary’s Pro-Cathedral, Manchester Street, 373 Manchester Street, Christchurch, on Thursday 22 May at 10.30am followed by interment at  Avonhead Memorial Cemetery.

Vigil of prayers, music and eulogies will be held in the Church on(this day) Wednesday, 21 May at 5.00pm
