Michael Rumatiki TIMU (Mike)

Mike, stubborn and determined to the end, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at Essie Summers Retirement Village on Friday evening, 30 May 2025, at the age of 92 years.

Mike is Dad to Alan and Michael, friend to Debs and Wendy, a loved grandfather to Alan Jnr and Michaela, and Matt and Katie, and a much-loved Great-grandfather to Navy and Max, and a special friend to Jan Watson.

Mike’s family would like to acknowledge the amazing staff at Essie Summers for their care and support of Mike.

A private family cremation has been held.

A celebration of Mike’s life and his love of Rock’ n Roll dancing will be held in the John Rhind Chapel, Entrance from London and Whitmore Streets, on Thursday, 19 June at 4.00pm.
