On November 12, 2023, passed peacefully at Radius Care Hawthorne. Dearly loved husband of the late Marjorie. Much loved father and father-in-law of Peter and Bernice, Vivien and Warren Whelan, and Nigel and Sharon. Dearly loved Pop of Taryn, Liana; Corey, Michael; Blake and Cameron; and their partners. Loved great-grandad of his 5 great-grandchildren. Youngest brother and brother-in-law to the late Carson, Helen, and Jack McLeary, Lindsay and Velda, John (dec) and Joan. Loved uncle of his nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Radius Care Hawthorne for their wonderful care of Neill. Messages may be sent to the Welsh family, c/- PO Box 263, Kaiapoi 7644. A memorial service to celebrate Neill and Marjorie’s lives will be held at the Redwood Hotel function venue, 340 Main North Road, Redwood, Christchurch, on Monday, December 11 at 1.00pm, followed by interment of the ashes at Harewood Crematorium at 4.00pm.
